About Me:
As a young woman, I earned a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, but I was more interested in healthcare than working in the lab, so I went into Medical Writing when I first got out of Graduate School.
Over the past 20 years, I have delivered quality medical education in many formats to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and patients.
I also had the pleasure of serving as an Adjunct Professor for a number of colleges.
However, my personal experiences taught me that despite all the education that is being produced and sponsored for specific diseases, there is a big gap when it comes to diagnosis. My own battles with celiac, and the 10 years it took to get diagnosed, made me see that there were still unmet needs for the public and the diagnostic process. With my professional and personal experience, I would be sought by friends, family, and sometimes complete strangers for help.
The desire to help and fix this problem led to my creation of my company "Personal Healthcare Information." My personal mission is to educate and help as many people as possible who are still suffering with unknown diagnosis or inadequate treatment of known conditions. I've developed a copyrighted process by which I counsel these individuals and help them move forward, renewed, and with self-advocacy skills. I join forces with my clients to develop their heatlhcare plan and get the results they need. It's so rewarding to see people move forward where they have been stuck, sometimes for years. I feel that building a therapeutic alliance with your treating physician is the "missing ingredient" that once added, can change someone's life for the better, and bring hope where there previously was none.
